UEFA CUP vs. CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Posted April 7th, 2008 by Roma_Fan
Ok we all know that the Champions League is way ahead of the UEFA Cup in terms of prestige money and press coverage (having your own magazine does not hurt). And that’s as it should be. It is after all the European Cup by another name. But on the field the competition in the UEFA Cup is often exceeds the more illustrious CL. Here’s the evidence:

Captain King keen to make return against Chelsea

Ledley King feels fit enough to be considered for next week's clash at Chelsea but boss Martin Jol is refusing to rush his skipper back.

King, who has been out injured since Boxing Day, is eager to return to action but Jol believes his skipper will need another two weeks on the sidelines.

He was earmarked for a return at the end of January but suffered a setback, making Spurs cautious about his progress this time around.

While next Sunday's Barclays Premiership clash at Stamford Bridge has been ruled out, facing Wigan on April 15 could be a possibility.
